There's no "refutation" as it is a solid opening. Your mistake was 8 Qc2, if instead 8 0-0 white is fine

I think 8. Nd2 is also fine. Best way to answer this question is by the opening book, which you can access from the analysis board of your game. There you can see how masters have handled that position.
