Castling is for chumps!

In this thread post games where you did NOT castle, and your opponent did, but you won. No miniatures. Here is one of mine from today.

Let's see what sort of games these are, I bet there are some interesting ones.

An example would be game 9 of the AlphaZero vs. Stockfish match recently. Alphazero marched the king straight up the board to guard its centre pawns and ended up crushing the worlds best engine - www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTWkX6KZO2A
guess those would typically be games where (i) there is an early queen exchange - and king without castling rights turns out to be actually useful in the centre (ii) white gives castling up for a big attack (iii) white initiates an early kingside attack and black avoids castling into it seeking chances on queenside (iv) sharp madly blunderous game like this one :P
The fundamentals of classical Chess require:
attack/dominate the centre
develop your minor pieces
castle

However, there really is no need to castle ASAP as long as the opening is controllable and well defended.
Actually castling late on (move 12+) can open up an attack vector by brining your Rook to the centre of the board and linking them together.
I have played games were I put off castling till the mid-game and then suddenly found a discovered check by castling which led to a win.

For beginners castling is important, it offers sanctuary and possibly ensures you do not fall foul of 'traps' - but castling within 8 moves is not a prerequisite (IMHO)
