I think the display of tournament scores in the profile should be separated into orthodox chess tournament scores and variant tournament scores. In this case, everyone will see how the player got his places in the top variants - through tournaments (where the player needs to play with opponents of his level) or, for example, through games in the lobby (where you can set up the search for opponents of a lower level).
I myself preferred games in the lobby in variants, with time control and an opponent that was convenient for me. But this way of moving up the ranks will cause discontent.

I meant that, someone in the leaderboard has played and increased their rating.
So, he could have came in the leaderboard in the 1st.
