...but since e3 is mate in 120...

do we even know for sure that there is no other first move for white that's mate in less than 120? c4?

Anti chess is only weakly solved I think, so not even computers have explored every line, but there is an extremely high chance all lines still lead to a losing position for black. And let’s be honest, supercomputers have better things to do than study a chess variant.

Haha I like that sentiment

Each of these grandmasters would easily lose to Stockfish, no matter the side they'd be playing. So they are not good representatives for 'perfect play'.

ICCF players use engines, and at average 5 days/move.
human + engines > engine > human

"all lines still lead to a losing position for black" * Yes 1 e3 wins Losing Chess in all lines.
#11
"no other first move for white" * That does not matter. 1 e3 wins Losing Chess in all lines.
There is no point in playing anything but 1 e3 as white.
As black 1...b6 is most resilient, but as it is lost anyway 1...c5 is just as good or as bad.

After 1. e3 white has many options to go wrong, what if 1. c4 or 1. g3 is also a forced win, with much less complications?

Not if you take a look at the engine. There it is a draw...
