Ich bin Paul Hinrichs, ein 21-jähriger Lehramtsstudent in Mainz und aktiver Schachspieler
Ich habe den FIDE-Meister-Titel 2024 erreicht und arbeite nun auf den nächstbesseren Titel, den IM hin. Ich selbst habe jahrelang Kadertraining erhalten – dieses Wissen kann ich jetzt an euch weitergeben.
Neben meinem eigenen Training habe ich bereits viele Stunden privaten Schachunterricht gegeben und freue mich, meine Erfahrung und mein strategisches Verständnis mit dir zu teilen.
I'm Paul Hinrichs, 21-year-old, currently studying to become a teacher at JGU Mainz. I am an active player.
I achieved the FIDE Master title (FM) in 2024 and am now working towards the next best title, the International Master (IM). I myself have received years of squad training - I can now pass this knowledge on to you.
In addition to my own training, I have already given many hours of private chess lessons and am happy to share my experience and strategic understanding with you.

About me
Playing experience
I started playing chess at the age of 5, and in the same year I won my first small open tournament in a park in my home town of Bingen. From then on, regular victories in regional and state youth individual championships followed.
Highlights of my early chess career include qualifying for the World Youth Championships in 2014, 2015 and 2016. I played in two of the tournaments and finished in the top half in each.
My recent successes include strong performances at the Grenke Open in Karlsruhe and at the DLM 2024 in Tübingen, as well as reaching the 2300 Elo threshold to become a FIDE Master. I have also been defending the title of Rhineland-Palatinate Cup Champion since 2019.

Ich gebe seit über 5 Jahren regelmäßig Einzeltraining, habe auf Anfrage auch schon eintägige Session gemacht, um kurz vor einem Turnier nochmal alles aufzufrischen. Hin und wieder gebe ich bei meinem alten Verein Training, meist auf Basis dessen was ich selbst vor kurzer Zeit auf dem Brett hatte und dachte, das müsste man ja eigentlich wissen.
Mein langjähriger Schüler macht circa 100 Elo plus pro Jahr, seit 5 Jahren.
I've been giving regular individual training for over 5 years, and have also done one-day sessions on request to brush up on everything just before a tournament. Every now and then I give training at my old club, mostly based on what I had on the board recently and thought I should actually know.
My long-time student has been making about 100 Elo plus per year for 5 years.

Jedes Training passe ich individuell an das Spielniveau und die spezifischen Bedürfnisse meiner Schüler an. Der Fokus liegt darauf, Schwächen gezielt zu verbessern und ihr Verständnis für das Spiel zu vertiefen.
