About me

My name is Akaki and i was born in Georgia, I've been enthralled by the game since I was 7. Now at 20, after 13 years of chess, I dream of becoming a Grandmaster. But alongside this dream, a new passion has bloomed—to teach and share my knowledge.

Last year I started coaching and welcomed my first student. It's been incredibly rewarding to guide and witness their progress. I aim to create a space where students thrive, learn, and fall in love with chess.

In this journey towards mastery, I'm not just chasing titles; I'm nurturing the seeds of greatness in others while striving for my own. Chess isn't just a game; it's a gateway to shaping futures and kindling passions.

Playing experience

For 11 years, I've been deep into chess, playing in lots of big tournaments all over. I've won the National Championship four times, feeling really proud each time. I even got second place in the Online European School Championship U17 once and grabbed third place in the Online Grand Prix. Each tournament taught me so much about strategy and never giving up.

Teaching experience

Over the past year, I have been actively engaged in teaching, where I have had the opportunity to develop my instructional skills, build meaningful relationships with students, and create a positive learning environment. My experience has involved planning and delivering lessons, assessing student understanding, and adapting my teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles. Throughout this time, I’ve grown both personally and professionally, gaining confidence in classroom management, communication, and curriculum design. This foundational year has deepened my passion for education and further strengthened my commitment to helping students succeed.

Teaching methodology

Have you ever felt like you're putting in lots of time into chess, but you're not seeing much progress? Let's change that! Together, we'll make a plan that's just for you, so you always know what to do next.

I focus on finding what you're good at and what you need help with in chess. That way, we can work on everything and make you a better player overall.
