FM Péczely Sebastian Zsombor

Hi, I am Sebastian Zsombor Péczely, I am 25 and from Hungary. I work as a consultant, have played multiple sports semi-professionally and also coached people in them. I have a unique philosophy in chess and in life aswell and I believe the chess you play mirrors your personality. I really enjoy playing attacking, tactical chess, and that is what has brought me success. Thats why I look up and try to learn from the same type of players ( Tal, Kasparov, Fischer, Rapport), and this is what I can teach the best aswell. I also believe this style is the most aesthetically pleasing and also the one you can create the most artworks with, and enjoy.

I have been playing chess since I was 7, my greatest achievements are:
- 3 times youth European Union master
- U16 olympiad tied 1st place
- winner of the 2022 Barczay Memorial: archive.chess-results.com/tnr629723.aspx?lan=1&art=1&rd=9 (2571 rating performance)
- have beaten multiple 2500-2600 GM's over the board

My peak rating was 2371, my biggest win was against a 2613 rated player.

I have always liked explaining and teaching new, interesting concepts and ideas. After high-school, in University I started coaching people in chess and in other areas aswell, even some teams, mostly online.

Attacking, tactical chess is my strongest suit by far, that is how I have beaten dozens of way stronger players, and this is what I can teach the best. A big part of it is understanding yourself, and the opponent to maximize your chances in preparation and over the board aswell. I can help you create a profiling of your opponent (and also teach you how to do it), which helps a lot in order to make a plan for the game. Since I am an FM, I have a solid knowledge of the basics too, which I can teach aswell.

I can help you find and correct your common mistakes by analyzing your games, help you improve your tactical abilities and deepen your chess understanding overall.
