About me

My name is Denis Kadric. I am a GM who plays for Montenegro(originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina). My peak rating is 2601 FIDE and my goal is to get to TOP 100. I am still more than motivated to play chess and to improve which I believe is something that helps me to be also motivated as a coach. I have a bachelors degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas, but living right now in Bosnia.

Playing experience

20 years of being a professional chess player. My best recent win would be against Keymer Vincent(2773 current rating) in 2024(Chess Olympiad in Hungary, Budapest) but there are many other individual wins and especially tournament wins that are more important to me.

Teaching experience

Professional coach since 2018(after I graduated). Many succesfull students who crossed from ~1500 to 2000+ rating. One of my longest and most important students is IM Eric Liu from the USA(2018 he was around 1400, now 2400+, and will probably become a GM soon). Also worked with many GM's on different openings.

Best skills

Probably 1...d6 for black against everything is something that I am unique for, but lately trying and succeeding to play many different things on high level.

Also a must mention for me, the Italian for white :D

Teaching methodology

I will not write ChatGPT stuff. I teach my students the best I can and what I think is the best for them to do.
