This is FM Deniz Arman. I am 39 years old Professional Chess Coach with double citizenship ( Swedish & Turkish) . I am currently located Istanbul, Turkey with my wife & 1,5 year old son. I work full-time with Chess mainly as Chess Coach, Chess Commentator & Chess Streamer. Later this year expecting to move back to Sweden.

I am currently play for Växjö SK in Allsvenskan (Swedish Chess League - Elite Division)

I work as a Professional Chess Coach since year 2010 and I've been actively participating at International Chess Tournaments around the world since my childhood. Over the years, I have worked with many students at various ages & levels and many of my students succeeded to deliver highly impressive results from beginner level up to 1800. I also train with students currently with rating around 1900 up to 2200 elo.

As a professional chess coach, I usually arrange one-to-one lessons with my students 1-2 times per week and my students even receive homeworks to train themselves in their spare time.

I believe that golden rule to get better and become successful in chess is to;

* Willingness to work hard to get better
* Get support of a professional chess coach who can share knowledge, his / her experience and also can guide you to train your skills in right direction.

I am an active Chess Player with one IM Norm obtained in 2024 and participating in international open tournaments across Europe.

In the past I was Champion of Turkey in Universities in year 2007.

* Champion of Istanbul, 2009.

* Rapid Chess Champion of Stockholm, 2016.

*Winner of Stockholm Open, 2017

* Winner of Compo Cup in Stockholm, 2017.

I am an Industrial engineer graduate with a masters degree in 2012.

Worked in many different areas including customers support, finance specialist, point of sales, sales & account management.

My current focus is mostly on chess as I have been working as full time chess trainer & chess streamer since 2010 in parallel to all other academic activities I've performed.

I would like to note that I worked as a Pro Chess Commentator within various international chess events in line with my coaching activities.

I have been working as a Chess commentator mainly for Official Chess Events in collaboration with Swedish Chess Federation (schack.se/)

Within the last 5 years period, I've got the opportunity to perform as a Chess commentator to Internationally recognized Elite Chess Events mainly Chess Olympiads, European Team Championships & also to many local Chess events organized in Sweden.

I am a strong tactical player with great understanding of tactical concepts in chess. This is a great opportunity for my students to improve their tactical skills too.

My teaching style is interactive & also we will be working on instructive examples together but also you will be receiving homeworks (optional) to be able to work yourself during your free times.

My teaching methodology usually starts by analyzing games of my students 4-5 games together and then we can identify the needs and weaknesses that we will need to improve in long term.

We will focus on different phases of the games during each lesson so there will always be variety in content to keep the motivation high but also to develop further skills in different parts of the game (endgame , middle game, opening etc.)
