Having played and interacted with Brandon over the years in various tournaments, I am impressed by his dedication to Chess, sportsmanship and willingness to share. Brandon is very open to sharing his advice on chess improvement! I first met Brandon in California about 7 years ago when he was had a USCF rating that was slightly above a National Master. Over the next few years, he quickly gained FIDE rating points and is an IM. His strong points are opening preparation, tactical vision, imagination, playing surprising moves, and having lots of mental strength and self-belief. Learn how he plays for a win even in drawish positions, and how he often succeeds doing so against lower-rated opposition! Be prepared to work very hard when studying with Brandon!

Brandon is an amazing player and coach. If you analyse your games with him, or listen his preparation when he play is very different than the most part of players and coachs. This guy looks a chess machine!!!
I am working with Brandon for some months now. He is helping me in all phases of the game (opening, middlegame and endgame) and is quite patient with me. I was playing e4 and wanted to get into the more positional d4. Brandon takes me through my games, does tactic lessons with me, gives me an insight into positions/strategic thinking an has ready made lessons on lichens that summarise the complex matters. He helps me to improve in every part of the game and I am thankful for his commitment. I recommend him highly.
I worked with Brandon for a little over 9 months. He is an exceptional coach and has an extremely deep understanding of the game. He is very professional and organized and will provide you with reference materials after your session. He was able to assist me in improving my opens, endgame and middlegame.
