Hello! My name is Aleksey Goganov, Im GM from Russia. Mostly I'm a professional player, but also looking for students. If you want to improve your play or maybe to become a professional player or just want to take fun feel free contact me!

I quallified 2 times in World Cup, 2 times in Russian Superfinal ( round robin tournament with most of Russian topGMs, average Elo is about 2700, best result 5.5/11), my peak Elo is 2643, current 2597. I also won medals in open tournaments and won championship of Saint-Petersburg twice. With teams I won Swedish, Bengali and Russian club championships. Till now i continue my carreer and hope that there will be new achievements in future.

Im not much experienced in teaching. I gave some offline lessons in Saint-Petersburg to children and amateurs. Also I gave lectures in chess schools and children's camps.

As I already told mostly I'm a professional player.

I have huge knowledges in openings, especcially with black because on different stages of my carreer i played practically everything. I can also help you to improve endgame and middlegame understanding mostly by studing typical ideas both positional and tactical. I believe its the best way to improve play. And I have a good sence of humor)

I open for online and offline lessons (if you live in Saint-Petersburg of course). I can set a good opening repertoir and as i told previously help you to improve your play. I need to know your level for more information because its very individual what we should work on first.
