  1. ErunaMe oh my, we'll be getting g4. If only I knew how to play against that.
  2. ErunaMe Is h5 claiming space, and trying to win f5 for the knight good, or should I prefer h6, controlling g5?
  3. ErunaMe I feel like white could generate some nasty pressure against, h5, so I'll play conservative for now.
  4. ErunaMe I suppose that preparing queenside castling, and counterattacking in the center, would be classical response.
  5. ErunaMe can't tell why but my instincts tell me that I should play h7, no matter how much more correct Ne7 seems.
  6. Fritzmann Good luck @ErunaMe
  7. ErunaMe Bh7 is instantly rewarded by white offering the trade of his good bishop. And threats the Qd3 might pose should get solved by Ne7.
  8. ErunaMe Qc7 followed by 0-0-0 and not getting mated seems like a plan.
  9. ErunaMe c5, Kb8 Rc8 and maybe f6 in some order, and my opponents position should crumble.
  10. ErunaMe how do I deal with Nb5 after c5? I assume not a6...
  11. ErunaMe c5, Nb5 c4, queen moves somewhere, Qb6 should favor me, I think?
  12. ErunaMe still, maybe a6 after all, he doesn't have a light bishop to hit it, so it shouldn't be that risky?
  13. ErunaMe I probably shouldn't play moves instantly with so much time.
  14. ErunaMe Qc6 allowing for b5 is tempting, but so I Qb6, Nc6 targeting the center.
  15. ErunaMe and I can't defend f7, oops.
  16. ErunaMe why are my rooks perfectly in a get forked position, if it was only losing a pawn than I 'd probably have enough compensation. D:
  17. ErunaMe Rf8 perhaps? losing a pawn or an exchange would be better than losing both, or the silly Rh7/Rg8. just losing a pawn?
  18. Scarff You still have chances for an attack though. Nc6 to get both the N and the B into the queenside
  19. Scarff And then just lose an exchange and a pawn, but have good attacking chances with 2 N, a B and a Q
  20. ErunaMe I'll miss you f pawn. D':
  21. ErunaMe I kind of wanted to play f6 at some point, now e6 seems weak instead.
  22. ErunaMe f5 is going to kill me. D:
  23. ErunaMe my plan, hope that my opponent plays anything but f5, allowing me back into the game somewhat.
  24. Scarff I feel like you should have sacd some material to get some freedom to play. All your pieces are on the last ranks being cramped now
  25. ErunaMe wait, how dangerous would, Nxe5 dxe5 d4 be?
  26. ErunaMe it might have worked if Ne7 and f8 weren't as awkwardly placed...
  27. ErunaMe I drew the last lost endgame, somehow, I can still hope for a miracle.
  28. Scarff 22. Ne8 looked way stronger for white, I think?
  29. Scarff Oh wait, this forks the N and R for black. So this is still very strong
  30. RobUmbra Yes. Looks hard to defend all this for black
  31. Scarff Yeah, this is lost for sure too. But I still think Ne8 looked cool for white, but less strong in hindsight
  32. Scarff I feel like c5 was the losing move, and then following it up with Rg8 was too passive
  33. Scarff Maybe just losing an exchange and playing for activity was just as bad. But to me it seemed like it offered more counterchances
  34. ErunaMe I'm slightly worse, I think.
  35. RobUmbra ;)
  36. RobUmbra Rc1 wins doesn;t it
  37. RobUmbra didn't it
  38. RobUmbra now
  39. Scarff Yes. The Q can't move so Rc1 would have forced Qxc1
  40. ErunaMe Seems like I lost, sorry team.
  41. ErunaMe I kind of blundered the most important pawn in my position.
  42. Scarff No worries, we all lose all the time :)
  43. ErunaMe Should have stayed in the center, and counterattacked earlier.
  44. ErunaMe Also, kind of miss analyzed h5.
  45. ErunaMe I thought white had the luxury of keeping g4 where it was, causing trouble.
  46. ErunaMe But Be2, hxg4 Rxh4 Would be kind winning for me.
