  1. SCV-Chess Yeah I think I really overestimated my position
  2. SCV-Chess Very well played!
  3. mohityadav143 I also though i got a worsse position from the opening
  4. SCV-Chess I think you were solid all the way through, we played the mainline through move 10 or 11
  5. SCV-Chess Actually the first time I've had that position haha
  6. mohityadav143 and you were playing very fast in the opening moves too. Well played
  7. SCV-Chess Yeah I had the theory memorized but should have been much more careful in the middle game
  8. SCV-Chess That exchange sac looked nice but like you said I think it was way too early
  9. mohityadav143 had you seen that idea somewhere before?
  10. mohityadav143 I was at first trying to go for the e3 pawn, it seemed the only weakness
  11. SCV-Chess Yeah that exchange sac does happen in some lines but I had never played it before
  12. SCV-Chess I agree that e6 is definitely the main weakness in these lines for Black
  13. SCV-Chess Even the knight jump into e4 looks like it was premature, my other candidate move was Bd7, clearing the back rank for my rook
  14. SCV-Chess Do you usually play the exchange variation? I saw a few of those in your games. The Tarrasch is definitely a nice choice
  15. mohityadav143 I had developed Bishop on g file because that was the only safe square and i wanted to bring my Rook on c file.
  16. mohityadav143 No, i just saw what were the main moves in french today only.
  17. SCV-Chess Nice, the Tarrasch is considered a solid way to get a small advantage for White, it's what I play as White
  18. mohityadav143 I played exchange in casual games, because that seemed the simplest
  19. SCV-Chess Ahhhhh looks like the critical move for Black in this position is e5, opening up his light square bishop for the defense
  20. mohityadav143 I think main sacrifice ideas for white is Bxh7 at some point
  21. mohityadav143 best of luck for rest of the matches.
  22. SCV-Chess Gotcha, yeah I saw you eying that square. That's why I think 13...Ne4 was bad
  23. SCV-Chess Best of luck to you too!!
