  1. Ryaol Be2 seems logical here to break up the pin and continue development
  2. Ryaol e6 opening the dark square bishop. Most likely wants to play Bc3. Therefore a3 to prevent another pin
  3. Ryaol Bd6 - No immediate threats here. Ne5 is tempting but I think developing my bishop here is the most sound move
  4. Ryaol Be7 threatening a possible Ne4? Line: Ne4 Nxe4 Bxg5 Nxg5 Bxe2 Qxe2 and is down a piece with Qxg5
  5. Ryaol I believe best here is Bxf6 eliminating the chance for Ne4
  6. Ryaol Bxf6 Bxf6 Ne5 to kick the bishop? Or perhaps castles after
  7. Ryaol My intuition here is Qxe2 but that would leave the d pawn weak. Taking with the knight may be prudent as that also opens queenside pawns
  8. Ryaol Nc6 - I can't allow the captues on e5 as I'll lose a pawn. But do I exchange or retreat the knight?
  9. Ryaol Nf3 guards the pawn while keeping the center closed. I think this is smarter than the exchange, giving him a pawn on c6
  10. Ryaol a nice move - only move that doesn't lose a pawn appears to be c3. I must get castled next turn
  11. Ryaol Na5 threatning a fork on b3
  12. Ryaol O-O and now time to push my queenside pawns and open the board
  13. Ryaol Rac8 - Do I move the queen and avoid the x-ray or Ne5 is temping to threaten a fork on d7
  14. Ryaol Qb2 is looking like the safe bet
  15. Ryaol Ne4 threatening Nxc3 which wins a pawn for black
  16. Ryaol Do I reinforce the c or d pawn with the rook on f1?
  17. Ryaol d pawn has two defenders so reinforcing the c pawn makes more sense... Rfc1
  18. Ryaol Be7 - Not seeing the threat here... Ne5 is now a tempting move.
  19. Ryaol I think now is the time for the push with c3. Ideally I would want my queen on a2 but I need to up the pressure
  20. Ryaol Really struggling with a plan in this position
  21. Ryaol I feel my queen is about to become overloaded, but where to reinforce? The isolated queen pawn is going to be a problem here
  22. Ryaol Rd1 to reinforce the IQP. Need to be find a way to bring the knight on e2 into the game
  23. Ryaol I think I need to target the weak a pawn here with Rca1
  24. Ryaol I need to kick the knight on e4 out to make any advances on the queen side, but weakening the king pawns is risky with queen on the board
  25. Ryaol I feel have to make my push now. Also feeling a little time pressure.
  26. Ryaol Nxa5 Bxa5 b4 will win back the piece and I'll be up a pawn
  27. Ryaol Welp, time pressure got me - Bxc3 wins on the spot
  28. Ryaol and there it is. I'll have to be more careful with my time next match.
