How to Destroy the Scotch Game trap Ng5
In the Scotch game there is a variation that has been recently getting popular. This trap, though has been fallen into almost 50k times is a one trick pony. In this Blog I will link my study and tell some additional content aswellProcess
All of this started on one faithful day 1 week before I made this Blog I had been crushed with this opening. Here's the game: game
When I lost to this, I waws surprised and curious. What just happened? To test this I played this against an opponent and had played Be7. game
It had also suprised me when a friend of mine asked me how to counter this. I gave him the answer Be7 and 2 days later he said he played it against a friend and it helped. He thanked me and we both chilled. After that I got even more curious I decided to spend my afternoon to study this trap and I had found some variations that helped.
Difficulty/ 8.5 Had to spend a lot of time on this

Now the reason why I said h6 is better than Be7 even though stockfish evaluates Be7 better is because of the fact that h6 is MUCH more prone to Nxf7. I also decided to check on Nf6 only it quickly equalizes the position.
Creds.
