I started playing chess in Glasgow when I was about 10. I joined the Giffnock and Clarkston chess club in Rhuallan house. The club was run by Walter Munn who did so much for chess. Every tuesday I eagerly anticipated going to the club. It was a wonderful place and I remember many of the characters. Sadly, I never became as good as my near namesake Bobby Fischer-but I still love chess. So thank you…
