Play the Van 't Kruijs opening like IM Kamran Shirazi

The following study is another "Play like..." Interactive Lesson which can only be enjoyed with the LiChess Tools browser extension installed.

This time we're looking at something slightly different. Instead of the first 20 or 25 moves of games played in the variation, we have over 2000 games that actually ended in victory after 30 moves or less. The opening name is Van 't Kruijs, but only because that's the name given to 1.e3. Shirazi turned it into a sort of system (he plays similar stuff with Black) where the first 3 moves are the same, regardless of Black's reply. With this unorthodox opening he gets an almost 60% win rate.
