My Game of the Month Submission

ChessTactics
I have found my game of the month, not the best game I’ve ever played, but the story is worth it.

I thought I had played the best game of the month on lichess yesterday. I sacrificed my queen, a rook, and a knight and checkmated in 17 moves. However, my feelings would soon change.
I was browsing the history of the beta app channel in the lichess discord late last night when I realized that only a few people were testing the voice to move feature. So I decided to use it in a few casual games. Unfortunately, these anon games did not go well as it was 3 in the morning and I was starting to slur my words a little. Not enough to matter for a human, but enough for lichess to mix up my moves.
About an hour ago I started trying again, this time playing 3 games as TheNoobiestNoob. I drew the first one, lost the second, and was in a slightly better position with attacking chances as black. I had lost 4 of my 5 games the day before, so I was feeling frustrated. My opponent attacked my queen so I moved it, attacked it again, and the tragedy struck. I said (indistinct) “Qa6” mixing up my notation. I then said yes when the arrows appeared. To my horror, I saw that my rook had moved to a6 while my queen was left to hang on h3. I quickly sent a takeback, and my opponent declined. I sent the messages in the title picture, and he accepted my takeback. I played Qh6 and he played g4 to break open the kingside and unleash his bishops. I then donated one month of patronage as promised.
It takes another level of selflessness to give up a sure win like this, and I am grateful that there are good people on lichess.
