Analyzing Pieces Part One: The Pawn

The pawn is the first piece on my list.It is the building block of chess and it makes good structures (for example the Caro Kann).The pawn is useful and can be used foe stuff such as sheltering the king, threating other peices which the pawn can do because it is not that powerful and lastly, guard other pieces.

Even with its pros, it has a lot of cons especially by itself.Firstly, it cant go back which makes them not have that much versitility.The other lowpoint is that it is not very goood by itself which was reflected before.Put the pawn with other pawns, that is good, defend the pawn with a piece to help it promote,not the best but still a good strategy,a pawn by itself without guarding,a big weakness for your opponent to exploit.
