Chess enthusiast living in SW England, originally from Scotland. In the past I have been very active in local competitive league chess, and weekend tournaments. Nowadays I mostly study to improve my game, play correspondence, and occasional OTB games against my chess friends .
My new year resolution is to try and play a game of chess everyday!
I am studying currently the following chess books: 1001 Winning Chess Sacrifices and Combinations (Reinfeld), Essential Chess Openings (Jon Speelmann & Raymond Keene), and 300 Most Important Chess Positions (Thomas Engqvist).
