Announcing The Horde Community Leaderboard!

The Horde Community Leaderboard is open to all Lichess players who do not break The Lichess terms of service, and you can be added upon request!

This blogpost will explain how the Leaderboard works and talk about the initial Rankings.

Rules of the Leaderboard

(The boring part, lots of details that pretty much mean Better performance = More Points)

Seven types of events can earn Leaderboard Points, each type of event has a base point total. Underneath this paragraph is a chart of point totals for each type of event before They are changed by your Win Rate and Performance Rating Bonus.
There is one exception, The Horde World Championship offers the same exact number of points No-matter your performance and Win Rate.

HWC 1st 175 points
HWC 2nd 150 points
HWC 3rd 125 points
HWC 4th 100 points
HWC 5th 100 points

After an event is completed, You get the same percentage of initial points as the percentage of games you won. Alongside an additional "Performance Bonus," this bonus is equal to your performance rating minus 2000, then divided by 30.
Each player's five submitted events where they scored the highest will count towards their total Leaderboard Points Score.
This does not apply to the HWC.

An example of this is as follows.
If you win 82% of your games, Perform at a 2356 level, and finished 2nd in the Monthly, You get 73.36 points.

The Top of the Leaderboard

#1 Mindhunter0101 745.69 Leaderboard Points, The Greatest Player of all time.

Mindhunter is the only Two-Time Horde World Champion, He is legendary for performing at such an high level the greatest players in the world couldn't keep up. In his Final horde tournament before Retirement he won the Third Horde Revolution over a field of Elite players. It is incredibly rare a variant has an Undisputed Greatest player of all time, But Horde does, and they are @Mindhunter0101.

#2 Sinamon73 696.66 Leaderboard Points

#3 Stubenfisch 690.03 Leaderboard Points

Stubenfisch is a two time Runner-Up of the Horde World Championship, and two time Runner-up of the Horde World Championship Candidates Stage/third place overall finishes in the World Championship. #4 Matvei-e2e4 622.62 Leaderboard Points

One of the strongest Horde players at the moment and the 2025 Bullet Horde World Champion. Commonly can be found at the #1 spot on the Horde Ratings list, Although it is common for that to go to an player who only plays 1/2+0 horde as it is considered easier to get rating that way.

#6 Bijiy 589.20 Leaderboard Points

The player with the Highest Horde Rating of all time! They have won a ton of shield tournaments and are considered one of the favorites for the World Championship this year.

#7 Horus_88 575.92 Leaderboard Points

The Reigning Horde World Champion, They won the Grand Final 7-2, Winner's Bracket Final 7-4, Winner's Bracket Semi-Final 7-2, and Winner's Bracket Quarter-Final 7-1, An incredible performance!

As a player with over 5,000 Horde Games I find myself Happily placed #18 on the Leaderboard with 241.68 Points. The greatest players have dedicated countless hours to the variant, and I hope this Leaderboard gives them a clear set of Standings to show their skills.
