The FIDE General Assembly voted against lifting sanctions on the Russian and Belarusian federations. Instead, it voted to consider lifting sanctions only on players with disabilities and children under 12. Yolander Persaud is the new chairperson of FIDE's Ethics & Disciplinary Commission after a chaotic election, as reported on Chessdom.
