  1. killager1 so far still in prep with 4...Bg7, although I was expecting a different move order
  2. killager1 5. b3 is a surprise, but I don’t think anything to worry about
  3. killager1 maybe I should have taken the d pawn immediately earlier so the Bishop can’t retake in the center
  4. killager1 oh well, should still be fine
  5. killager1 I know some positions Na6 came after LSB moves to open up the b-file if BxN, but not sure about that here
  6. killager1 maybe Re8 first, then cxd4 and if Bxd4 then e5 comes with tempo and e4 would be a problem for White I think
  7. killager1 cxd4 now probably also fine but I’m less sure
  8. killager1 Probably should mention of course there’s also Nxd4 or exd4 which also don’t seem to be a problem to getting e5
  9. louisetellier 8. Ne4 seems like a weird decision
  10. louisetellier I think every natural move is fine for Black, but Nxe4 Bxe4 d5 seems like the position White woudl've wanted to avoid
  11. killager1 I think I can still go with 8...cxd4 and then e5. I can probably throw in d5 at some point, too
  12. killager1 I’d rather get e5 first, though, so the pawn is supported
  13. louisetellier (9) Maybe it would've been interesting for White to play Nxf6 to avoid the exchange followed by d5
  14. louisetellier Tho I suppose Black is not going for it anyway
  15. louisetellier The plan of pushing e5 doesn't seem like the best here
  16. louisetellier But still fine
  17. louisetellier Okay, d5 do be nice
  18. louisetellier White's dsb looks a bit suspect on b2 in that structure
  19. louisetellier Funny would be 10. Nxf6?! exf6 that said
  20. killager1 wondering if throwing in Bg4 is useful or not. Keep wondering if Qa5 is useful and I’m not sure. Bg4 would stop the Knight blocking, but
  21. killager1 White can just castle after Bg4
  22. louisetellier (10) Ng3 seems sensible, at least
  23. louisetellier Bg4 is developping a piece nicely, it's surely is nice
  24. killager1 h4-h5 might also be something
  25. killager1 Nc6 seems pretty natural, but maybe Bg4 is a'ight
  26. killager1 maybe Qa5 Nd2 wouldn’t be so bad for me, tho
  27. killager1 probably lots of good moves. I’ll stick with Bg4
  28. killager1 this I wasn’t worried about. I think Bxf3 Qxf3 Qa5
  29. killager1 14. b4 would be a funny blunder b/c of 14...Nxb4 15. cxb4 Qxb4+
  30. louisetellier 14... e5 seems strong for Black
  31. killager1 kinda wonder if 15. b4 e4 would work, or if 15. b4 I ought to move my Queen
  32. killager1 well, no need to think about 15. b4 now :P
  33. killager1 h5-h4 still something I wonder about, but not sure I want to commit to that yet
  34. killager1 nromally I’d take the Bishop pair away from my opponent, but now that I have an IQP I probably don’t want to trade if I don’t have to
  35. killager1 I would like to put my Knight on e4, but that kinda looks like I’m losing a pawn if I do that now
  36. killager1 maybe it is worth trading the Knight and Bishop so the Rook controls the e-file and I can play Ne4
  37. killager1 Rfc1 seems odd to me. I guess the c-3 pawn was being attacked 3 times, but can’t I start pressuring f2 now?
  38. louisetellier (19) Funny thing is that Nxf2 directly seems to be a thing as well
  39. louisetellier As the g3-N would be hanging anyway after Q+ and a R infiltration
  40. louisetellier Or just Rd6-f6 threats
  41. louisetellier Hm
  42. louisetellier Nxg3 Qxg3 Re2 seems strong too
  43. louisetellier Nxg3 fxg3 Q+ Re3 seems strong
  44. louisetellier Quite a bit of choice
  45. killager1 I wonder if I have the immediate Nxf2...
  46. louisetellier Black saw the light
  47. killager1 Nxf2 Kxf2 Qb6+ Kf1 Rd6 wanting Rf6+. What does White do to stop it?
  48. killager1 I think White would be forced to block with the Queen
  49. killager1 so essentially I trade a Knight and Rook for the Queen
  50. killager1 unless I’m missing something
  51. killager1 well, I’d rather go for it and be wrong and lose then not go for it because I’m afraid I missed something
  52. killager1 I didn’t think about what if Queen moved instead of King taking, but guess I don’t need to now.
  53. killager1 and guess we’ll see soon if I missed anything
  54. killager1 don’t I win the Queen immediately now?
  55. killager1 nope
  56. killager1 that was a blunder
  57. killager1 oops
  58. louisetellier Damn
  59. killager1 damn
  60. louisetellier What a sad Rook move.
  61. louisetellier Was such a brilliant game
