In this video, IM Alex Astaneh is teaching the first part of the coverage of the Traxler Counterattack that can arise in the Italian Game opening. This variation is characterized by black's move 4...Bc5 and right after that move, white has to main options to continue. White can either continue with the move 5.Nxf7, which leads to very chaotic lines and is rather in blacks favour, or white can play 5.Bxf7+, which is whites best option. In this video, we will focus on the variations after white's response with 5.Nxf7.
The main focus of this video is on black's best responses to white's last moves:
3:03 6.Kxf2
13:55 6.Kf1
