The puppy and the bird still play on a 7 * 7 board with black pieces only.
Hey there, fellow adult improver here! Your plan sounds similar to what I did, though you seem to have something of an affinity for formality! One supplemental, if not alternative, thing I might recommend is jamming the Lichess puzzle streak, to a somewhat ridiculous amount.
When I was first improving I did basically the same thing but in a slow burdensome way using, amongst other similar resources, "Chess: 5334 Problems, Combinations and Games". It's a book by the Polgar sisters' father that's basically the same thing as puzzle streak - with basically trivial mates and what not incrementally improving up to some rather complex positions.
Improving your board vision is 100% the first step to going anywhere, and puzzle streak is just perfect for it, and you can easily grind through thousands of problems of practice in a few hours. Just make it a goal to get to a certain minimum level each day to make sure you don't start just completely auto-piloting. Though really I find that even auto-piloting does, over time, work to improve that board vision.

The AI images are getting out of hand. Can't seem to find an original picture nowadays. The thing is, AI doesn't even make it good, as the chessboard only has black pieces and is not an 8x8. If you are going to use AI, at least put effort into the prompt. The only thing that could be worse is if a human made that image.
Just one note: here are tons of low to medium strength bots right here on lichess. If you’re importing to get a game analysis you might as well save a step. For example, there’s a bot called Sargon-1ply and then there’s also 2 and 3 and so on. maia1, maia5, and maia9 are all worth playing.
Chessdojo made a video about this, and lichess has a bots page.

Yet another chess blog with crappy AI slop title images.
@OhNoMyPants thanks!
Yep, that's also one of the things I do from time to time, I think FM Canty advocates for puzzle streak as well.
@micadoog thanks!
Yep, saw that too. I have a few games against them as well. The chesscom bots in the instructions are more like suggestions. As long as we can isolate simple tactical blunders in a no pressure setting, that should work. What I'm avoiding is playing a strong bot who'd really pressure me into a simple tactical blunder.

What in the world is a SUB/SMB? It'd be good to link to your previous blogs so the lazy reader could find out!
I guess I'll have to do that. Thx @UncleVinny
