I am excited for the OTB part of this, 960chess is amazing!
Remember the time when Sergey Karjakin and his wife said that Esipenko deserves the spot in the fide candidates rather than Hikaru who hasn’t played OTB Chess for two years? Then Hikaru slaughtered Esipenko twice on the Grand Prix tournament?
Chess960, among all other chess variants, is the best for competitive events so far. Hats off to Bobby Fischer who proposed Chess960 aka Fischer Random.
Also congrats Naka for winning this event and getting qualified in the World Fischer Random Championship.
