Welcome to the Lancaster Red Rose Chess Club!!! This club has been in existence since the 1940s. The first Lancaster County Chess Championship was held in 1949 and the annual tournament has continued uninterrupted with the exception of two years (2020 and COVID-19 being only the second year the tournament was not held). The Lancaster County Chess Championship trophy maintains the long-standing tradition of having the name of each year's winner etched into the trophy in golden letters for future generations to behold each player's lifetime accomplishment. So come join the fun. All members are welcome from beginner to master. Learn the secrets of the game, create new friendships, grow smarter, and improve your thinking and maybe just maybe, you too can become the next Lancaster County Chess Champion and become a part of history...

In addition to this online community, the Lancaster Red Rose Chess Club meets weekly every Wednesday night starting at 6:30pm until 9:00pm at the Lancaster Red Rose Commons Barnes & Noble. See below for the address.
