Welcome to the Bournemouth Chess Club.

We currently have three teams which compete in the Bournemouth and District Chess League B&DCL, but we are actively looking for new members to form new teams. Places are available for league matches, so sign up now.
Bournemouth Chess Club, 140 years old and going strong

Bournemouth Chess Club was founded in 1880, which makes it the oldest chess club in Dorset and it was the only club in the area with 100 members. Its heyday period was between 1880 and 1920.
