We're a bunch of ageing 5-minute fans from the old days when we used to play at Ade's house and get our coffees topped off with whisky bought at one third the price from the shoplifters. He wouldn't let you leave the house without giving you a challenging new book to read. He would quiz you upon your return to make sure you'd read it too. A top man, we are merely his acolytes.
