Elite Crazyhouse Arenas

It's official, we're relaunching the Elite Crazyhouse Arenas created by @TheFinnisher!

Here's the first edition: lichess.org/tournament/Jg4VZf0C

Date: Saturday April 16th, 2022 at 6 PM UTC

To try to pinpoint the perfect start time, we might also vary the start times of these arenas so make sure you double-check in advance for each arenas. We'll vary all the different parameters available to us like: time control, minimum rating, etc... These arenas will also be bi-weekly in order to avoid any overlap with the Lichess Titled Arenas.

Hopefully we can soon settle on a more regular time of start, but in the meantime, suggestions of formats/start-times are welcome in the comments below!

Next editions:

Won't there be restrictions on levels?
There are some interesting time controls coming up! I like the previous/next buttons (or pseudo-buttons) I must say.
sometime can't drop pawn!because the pawn is left!

I inferred it when I saw your team message this morning.
Until the possible change, you might consider tournaments with rating restrictions of <2000, <1700, <1500, and <1300.
Marlonc, you inspired me! lol some time controls I would recommend are: 1/4 +2, 1/2 +1, 1 + 1. Increment with low starting time may be more interesting to players. For instance, it gives a chance to a player with stronger position to gain some time, while not seeing a mate immediately, unless player makes a grave mistake ofc. Indeed, it might be interesting to have (elite) tournament with changing, less seen time controls. Hence, some might be more motivate play and to qualify, and winners might feel more compelled to participate again, because of the tempo change.

On a side note, I think 1+0 and 1/2 +0 are the least popular tournaments in Underground arenas, but I have no firm data to confirm it. However, tournaments without increment usually are.
What can be done to have more elite players showing up in rare tournaments.... We hardly see tough opponents and when they do show up, they are so guarded about ratings
