Welcome to the Lichess-Atomic-Team,

we will start things with an Welcome-Arena(lichess.org/tournament/g2YveawB) on Friday 17 UTC, which will be 1+1. If you have any suggestions about how to use the team please feel free to share those with us in this Forum. In the future there will be more tournaments between hourlies where you can play different timecontrols. Also we will share community-organised events with you like the Atomic WC.

We hope that this team will help to make Atomic more popular!

Exactly!

I believe that main inner team arena tournaments should be restricted to those with >1500 rating. It would improve the performance rating of players in the tournaments, reduce the number of extremely short games, and provide an incentive for players to improve. However, there should then also be a concurrent U1500 tournament.
