Candidates!?!?

@FischyVishy
Thank you for your response, but that only answers the question about me and doesn't clarify the situation.

The rules that you wrote say there would be 10 candidates, and there are 11 names on the list. Does it mean you broke your own rule? Could you explain to people outside of your inner circle what happened?

Thank you in advance.
You know what happened @Fumitoks . There were no secret conversations among any inner circle. Opper pulled out so his wildcard became vacant and was awarded by FischyVishy to JK. As a wildcard he was within his rights to award it how he liked. Yasser was another possible Candidate but had refused it originally. As in normal chess there is one wildcard which is the choice of the tournament director. Meanwhile JannLee told opper to think on it for a few weeks and we were pleading with him on Discord. Legion even closed his lichess and discord account in protest at opper leaving. And Jann said that no-one would object if he changed his mind. His chair would be left open in Jann's words if he wanted to return to it. In the meantime JK had been promised the wildcard and most followers of zh are very excited to see JK play the top names in competitive matches for the first time. He has legend status being the guy who even taught Jann the game 20 years ago. When opper changed his mind of course the rules had to be relaxed to allow the extra wild card. If you can be a good sport we want to see you and JK and opper all in this. None of you is more special or more privileged. You earned your place. JK is Fischy's wildcard and we all love opper to come back and take an extra wildcard spot.
@okei
1) I don't know what happened since it was never shared. Not interested in rumors
2) Even from what you wrote, it sounds like there were conversations among the inner circle
3) Also, it sounds like this inner circle decides who is worthy and who is not. Also that inner circles can change the rules without discussing it with the participants. And I don't mind if it is the case, as long as they admit it. If they want to make a tournament for their friends, they are free to do so (but then it is very strange to call it "world championship")
I heard what I know from public conversations on discord (opper posted in public) and what JannLee said from his stream, not from any private conversations
The inner circle is like the "deep state" ie. a figment of imagination. If it exists it is us on discord who are privy to these conversations. They are public to all in the House.
@okei if that's true, who was it that gave us Sweat (a la la la la long)?
Sounds like a cool band @Marlonc

youtu.be/k9pUR1QV3yQ this was some good music also...

It's true there's an inner circle that run Lichess. And they don't reveal that someone is marked or discuss why, no public announcement that might shame the person. Good reasons exist for all this but there's a degree of trust needed that they are not wrongly banning people. And if people did do something wrong I think there should be a greater expectation that they own up to it and the possibility of them serving time and coming back in future if they are truly apologetic.

More generally we need to be more positive and supportive as a community, supporting efforts of the mods to keep this site running smoothly and Fischy to keep the CWC running smoothly. We want a fun competition and there's no point undermining that to make a personal statement.

One last thing you said a tournament for their friends. It isn't that by design but the nature of zh as a small community is that we ARE friends with almost everyone else and there is a friendly spirit. When it comes to competition you lay that aside and no takebacks but even if I beat you or lose to you I am still your friend at the end of the day. And we respect each other. This is a spirit that Jann has fostered with his streams and it would be nice if crazyhouse doesn't lose that.
I only heard one side of the story (from Jann on his stream). Would love to hear more from your side in future.
