There is a problem in the way it is done today that matches that go beyond the tournament time are not counted, this is unfair, I think these matches that take longer than the time were not allowed to happen, I believe that the Swiss system option or ron round robin (for some private tournaments) would be great to improve the site and make more equitable the outcome.

I think the least lichess can do in this regard is make an option to disable streaks. Streaks are complete nonsense and I really wouldn't mind if they were removed for all tournaments.

lichess will not replace real tournaments. Therefore, lichess all right. Do not bother.

The reason these tournaments don't exist yet might be that it is a lot of work to implement and tricky to get things right, i.e. up to the standards of the rest of the website. I do look forward to it, though.
