this is also a win. g-pawn has better support than d-pawn.
Are you sure? Black plays 7...Nc6, 8...Ne7, 9...d4. If the g-pawn advances far then black gives his knight for it, but that leaves the white king far from black's d-pawn, which can then advance with support from the king 10...Kc5, 11...Kb4.
