Candidates Stage for the Crazyhouse World Championship 2020

Hi everyone,

Following the conclusion of the Double Elimination Knockout Stage of the Crazyhouse World Championship 2020, we now enter the Candidates Stage, with these 12 ranked players who have qualified (ratings are average of best rating and rating at time of tournament start):

The Candidates Stage is a round robin format, where each player will play every other player in a match of 10 games of 3+2 crazyhouse. This means each player should complete a total of 11 matches, within which there will be 110 games. Each game won is worth 1 point, each game drawn is worth a 0.5 point and each game lost is worth 0 points. The player with the most points by the end of the Candidates Stage will be entitled to challenge the current Crazyhouse World Champion opperwezen in a match of 60 games of 3+2 crazyhouse.

Prizes are as follows and are only released upon completion of all 11 matches or 110 games:
1st candidate: right to challenge the world champion, where runner up prize is $200 and champion prize is $400
2nd candidate: $150
3rd candidate: $140
4th candidate: $130
5th candidate: $125
6th candidate: $120
7th candidate: $115
8th candidate: $110
9th candidate: $105
10th candidate: $105
11th candidate: $100
12th candidate: $100

Given the Double Elimination Knockout concluded 2 weeks later than originally scheduled, the Candidates schedule has also been adjusted accordingly to be fair on the players. Matches should start to be arranged immediately, with the view of completing the first match within 2 weeks from the date of this post (Sunday 16th August). From then on, during a week when a match is played, the guideline is to schedule the next match for the following week, such that one match is completed each week. For avoidance of all doubt, all dates are outlined in the schedule below here:

Hopefully that should provide sufficient information to allow matches to commence being scheduled. If players wish to schedule and play games in advance that is permitted, but we do not wish to fall behind. We're already in November if we follow the schedule above.

Looking forward to some great matches and I'll be aiming to release a video in the near future to formally introduce the players with more colour and personality than their lichess username alone.

I assume we should start posting here when matches have been arranged.
Round 1 - mastertan vs Mugwort on Saturday 8th August, 11:00 UTC or 21:00 Sydney time (AEST).
