Do chess variants help you improve in chess?

I like Chess960 for practicing strategy. While I like playing racing kings not sure what the improvement aspects are? Patterns?
KotH helps you learn to support the center and protect it really well, I think. I'm thinking about antichess, but I can't think of anything that it would help you with. Timing perhaps?
Idk about racing Kings. I play that a lot but.... maybe positioning pieces correctly on the board to get maximum and easy results. That is my opinion.
I feel like different variants help you in different aspects of chess. Like timing, protecting your pieces, calculating future moves, endgames, openings...
All chess variants are different games from chess because they require their own knowledge and their own skills, if you want to become good at chess you have to play chess, the best way to develop the ability to do something is by doing it.
