KJCA

Thanks. I thought u had to notate though to claim draws and stuff though.
debatable. I used to notate for analysis, and it wasn't very bothersome.

The particular example is Yifan Luo, the reigning KJCA U18 champion who notates to slow down and think in rapid because he plays relatively fast.

Conclusion: It depends on the playstyle and the motive.

But what about draws? I thought u couldn’t claim them without notation

Yes. That is why Notating games is MANDATORY in classical. KJCA, which is a rapidplay congress, provides scroesheets but doesn't make them mandatory, it is optional to notate for ANY rapid or blitz game under any federation, excluding any small ones I'm not aware of possibly. Maybe Rwanda forces you to write down your moves in 3+2 matches.
