There is a point. If both side have access to flawless tactics calculations, then it becomes a pure game of long term strategy.
Likewise ICCF allows engine consultation, but whoever just plays what an engine recommends will never win in ICCF, as the opponent also has engine access.
Then nobody will win the game until a misclicke or internet problem right?
@I_Mathematics If you refer to other members of lichess not to mention those who have posted in the same thread, ping them for fudge's sake.
I really don’t understand what you said, pls can you explain in simple words?
@ProposeBurgersWhat do you mean about fudge's sake..
@I_Mathematics You're fast learner
-chess would become boring... thats why we have the rating system. I think we all want to know how good we are at chess, and the best way for this is to play someone of the same level.
-on a side note: if using engines meant earning money then, considering how unemployed I am... I would have to revisit that answer

Oh yes, the better long term strategist will win. Even in ICCF at least some games are won. The whole point is to make long term plans that go beyond the horizon of the engines.
Centaur chess is actually pretty fun (i have tried it with a friend)
