Comments? Passive French Game

Out of the opening i didn't like your position, i am rather sure that there must be improvements. Black had no problems after the opening, it seems that this was not to his taste and he created them rather soon. I don't know what happened to him, maybe too optimistic, maybe careless. He forced you to win the game and you don't refuted the material you could win.

What do you mean with f5? in which position? To threaten your bishop`on g3? Well, that would have been a better way to play for him. You can't stop f4 and black is clearly better i guess. You should look in the opening for improvements. It cannot be that this was best for you to play. Would it have been bad for you to place a knight on d4 (the b3 one i guess)? Don't know theorie here, never played that...
@royalblue04 of course I wanted to place the knight on d4 but it seemed like there was too much pressure on that point and it would have been taken immediately. I thought I could maybe use his isolated pawn to my advantage in the endgame. That is why I also was unsure about Bb5 which is suggested by the engine and @hawks123 just said it too. I felt like keeping the bishop pair and letting him keep the isolated pawn was better. I don't know. Somehow I always win those french games against players my strength although I am playing it wrong xD My best rated victories where all french games... I don't know what to do differently.
@OnlyBetterNoBlitz the point is black will probably play bd6 then u take the pawn and they have an isolated pawn still and they lost a tempo
