lichess.org/forum/general-chess-discussion/how-to-improve-rating?page=1It has been long requested that a forum post talking about how to improve in chess in different rating levels be pinned/stickied on the general chess forums so that there aren't too many repeat forums and this seems to be the perfect rough study guide.
@A_0123456 Yes, Lichess needs to pin the most commonly made forums in order to avoid repetition.
Forum categories would be nice :) This would help a lot :)

Yeah, just like
chess.com has.
Don't think stickying is a good idea, as that would take up a bit of space. However, there is the FAQ, which would maybe be a nice place to put all the commonly made threads.
Is there a way to bookmark a forum post?
Yeah, on your browser! Press the star Icon >>Add Bookmark>>Folder _ Bookmarks bar>>Save.

Why not both?
Anyway whichever wins they are both great ideas.
It's an interesting and thorough post, to be sure, but why sticky something that doesn't apply to everyone? Everyone learns in different ways. The suggestions which the author offers won't work for everyone.
Also, I don't think that having multiple threads asking how to improve at chess is a bad thing. As a result of the differences described in the previous paragraph, the threads may have different answers, that may be helpful to different users. Not only that, but the whole point of having a forum on a chess website is to help people share ideas about chess so that they may improve.
@clousems Too sensible. I ask that this be stricken from the record.
