Lichess should ask Magnus to stop making new accounts

As long as you don't undermine Lichess's spirit of conduct, mods will turn a blind eye if you don't follow the letter. I guess if Magnus says "hey Thibaut, I just broke your rules, wattboutit" he would get it too. Maybe you create multiple accounts, but use it to play chess and not to cheat, and don't brag about it, maybe you get a pass.

Banning Magnus is a publicity Lichess does not need. You play on Lichess because of its technical merits and maybe its open source credentials, not because it is a site that banned Carlsen.

He literally has 50 accounts or something.

Ah eventually we got a piece of useful information. 50 accounts is multiple accounts but 8 isn't, is that right @Rookie?

So Magnus used the STL account to play a Saint Louis Tourney, he uses mostly DrNykterstein to play bullet.

Can you please help me here and tell me when other accounts were active? 3 years ago? 2 years ago? I think so

Hum sorry for pinging you I didn't figure that was wrong. I wasn't aware that multiple accounts were allowed as long as they are inactive. But yeah totally makes sense. I still wonder if he has loads of inactive accounts why would he create a new one rather than just using a old one to play the Greek opening?

To be honest we all loved how he did a fun stream and made 11k+ people enjoy, what username he wants it's upto him, at the end It's Magnus Carlsen.
