If that last comment about Lichess being non profit is accurate this would open the floodgate to tax deductible donations. The question is how is this provable to the country of origin to recognize Lichess to be a non profit organization for tax deductible donations.
it's a registered Non-profit but not a registered charity. Check you nations laws and if patreon records count as a receipt and if European registered non-profits qualify.
Depends on your country I guess.
