Why lichess is not a good site

1. There is constant time loss because of lag, lichess does not reimburse time. If I'm going to play a game where you lose because of lag, I would rather play JudoChess.
2. You get banned for aborting games. If your opponent does not start, you are forced to wait, and if you start another game, your opponent might move and cause you to lose on time.
:P lol
well, my ping is quite good...

And for #2: wait 15 seconds before aborting ;)
^What he said.

Also, I'm pretty sure that the lag is on your end, at least it is on mine.
Why lichess IS a good site:

1. If you lose a game, you can always win the next one.

2. If you abort a game, play another one.
1. lichess adds back time to the clock, so does chess.com. But when the clock in browser is 0 then game over. It doesnt wait for the opponents move. At least that is how i think it works. That is different from eg how it works on FICS. Have you ever experienced there, that your clock runs down to -5 minutes or more? That is because it waits for an answer from an opponent who disconnected. You will have to adjourn the game and if your position was lost and you just was winning it on time, then bad luck, the comp checking it will flag this as a loss for you. Doubt that is what bullet players here want (i would like it but i play chess for other reasons than bullet players :->).

2.1. it could show clearly when one can abort. I remember an admin saying that they are planning this.

2.2. it could distuingish between 'opp has not yet connected' and 'opp has left'.
1. Lichess adds back time from lag. If your lag is >150ms, that's a problem with your internet.

2. It only happens after doing it a number of times. You can still abort 1 or 2 games almost immediately without consequence. If you would prefer to go back to the old system where people would abort against you for no reason...?
Also

3. You get withdrawn from tournaments just for one wrong click that leaves the page.
#8 You can just rejoin?! One correct click fixes the one wrong click.
