Is it wrong to practice piece checkmates in actual games?

Like in the following game, since I had the opportunity I decided to do the two bishops checkmate. Was that bad practice?

If your opponent wont resign, then its good practice. Try knight and bishop, is a good challenge.
It's not bad practice at all. Actually, NOT RESIGNING when you're totally lost and your opponent isn't about to lose on time is considered bad practice sometimes. Every single time I have the chance, I do exactly what you did in that game because the two bishops checkmate is my favorite. I learned it by watching @chess-network 's tutorial and I basically premove until I checkmate. lichess.org/R3TR44eEyWG9 (example) www.youtube.com/watch?v=uimbIq9h_7A (ChessNetwork's video).
