Which variant you prefer and why?
What are some basic tips in your favourite variant?

At the moment i like Chess960 and Atomic best.
Chess960: No opening theory, only basic opening principles needed.
Atomic: sharp crazy tactics, but the downside is opening theory is very important.

Atomic: Explosions and chess.

From the ones which are supported at lichess: Chess 960

my favorite variant of all time: Omega Chess.

I am too prefer Chess 960.

Also Glinski's Hexagonal chess would be great at Lichess:

But probably would be hard to implement the UI for the hexagonal board.

I like three-check because of how tactical it is. But I think my favourite is king of the hill, because it changes the game without making it cheap. There's a tension between castling and keeping the king in the centre to get to the centre quicker.

KOTH or Atomic. I like to troll Stockfish 1 on KOTH and just king push center! Atomic because of explosions. :)
