LiChess Is Spanish for 'Milk'

@jot9 nuh-uh even the spelling same as the leche the lichess same spelling same explain the difference same
oh...yea. one time my old roomate made us a dessert.

Tres Lichess.

was very good.
The google translator detected lichess as being from the language : Esperanto
"La Internacia Lingvo"

Chess in esperanto is: ŝako
If I type Li chess, I get as a translation: He chess.
King = Reĝo
Queen = Reĝino
Rook = Turo
Knight = Kavaliro
Chess Bishop = Episkopo
Pawn = peono
chess checkmate = ŝaka mato
checkmate = Kajako
Chess Draw = ŝaka remizo

Chess is a place where friendships can be formed. Maybe chess players could adopt a second language like the international language Esperanto.

The Esperanto flag is green with a white square and a green star.
Have you noticed anything similar: lichess.org/learn#/
Not the same, but has the colors and the star, but the star needs to be green.

Imagine the chat rooms having an option to only see Esperanto in the chat rooms. A linguistic community of Esperanto chess players. Rather than disabling the chat completely, the only chat visible would be the Esperanto language selected. By disabling the Esperanto language, you could see all the other chats from any language. This could help promote the Esperanto language into the chess world.

Do you think it would be good to start with an Esperanto Chess Tournament and play the anthem of Esperanto on Lichess ?

#18 Interesting, that's probably a common case of nearly omiting the vowel phonem in colloquial speed (like the first example in the video). It seems that L is a very strong letter in spanish, so it even helps swallow the e/i.

I could be wrong, but still don't think lichess would sound like leche. Maybe in dialects in which the trait described above is strong.
