A title is supposed to be a rare thing.
If 30 % of the players are titled, what is the point ?!
The actual system is good. The lowest title (LM) is already very hard to get and only a few people can contest for that.
I understand you want to get your pretty Lichess Chess Master (Master = 1800 elo ? lol) title but you should consider improving your chess to get a real title instead.
Do not like the idea except if the rating requirements started at 2000. And follow the rules before for lichess master.
2350+ Classical
or the 2400 whatever it was before along with one needing to be in blitz or classical
Actually starting with 2100 and increments of 50+ and having 100 consecutive games above the limit could work but still sort of useless.
Ah, so LM is lichess master? I always wondered what LM meant.

But this wouldn't really fit into the minimalistic style of lichess.
If everyone has a title, it just waters it down and makes it meaningless. Titles are something hard to get that take work to obtain. They shouldn't be freely given out.
