An instance of double standards by Lichess Mods?

Sorry for the late reply. Let me write one consolidate post instead of replying one by one.

@glbert I don't think an "Americans are bad at the Chinese language" comment will upset any American users. The American users will probably respond with something like, "Yeah, we are bad at Chinese. What's your damn point?" But the vice versa is perceived as upsetting.

@Cedur216 yeah you got it right, the first one was meant to be a joke and it even got a LOL in chat. The second one was posted out of curiosity (or a test as you said)

@Arckai I can agree with your analogy of calling GMs and beginners as bad players. That makes sense. And yeah I dropped both statements out of the blue, there was no "development". And "Americans" refers to the US folks right? Or at least that what I meant it to be. I've watched enough Hollywood movies to know this.

Some background:
For the first one, some of the users were discussing the USCF rating versus FIDE rating. When I dropped the first bomb out of the blue, there was one "lol" and that was the end of it.

For the second one, some of the users were discussing the identity of the Chinese GM "FeegLood" and some more discussions of Chess in China. When I dropped the second bomb out of the blue, two of them verbally attacked me. And before I could respond, a Mod time me out.

What do you have against deaf people and midgets? It could have been a deaf Chinese midget.

It is a fine line between humor and insult.
In this case, you used verbal irony for the first phrase, which can be interpreted as sarcasm. Your second phrase doesn't use irony or any type of humor at all (if it's sarcasm then it's very difficult to notice), so it is interpreted as an insult.
