When running tournaments many players sit idle for a long time. Is there a way to force pairings or make this more efficient?
My impression was that it pairs people as soon as there is a player available. In tournaments with longer time controls you may need to sit because everyone else (except your most recent opponent) is playing. Maybe there's a bit of a delay if the only player(s) available are well above/well below you in points or rating?
