Rating Increase in 12 Days

So guys, recently my classical rating has jumped from 1514 to 1688 in the course of 12 days !!! Is it a good rating jump ? And how much would this translate to in OTB chess ?
Also, what's your sharpest rating climb ?
Well that's very good imo, but I don't know how that'd translate into OTB. It really depends on the opponents you played against.
I have experienced this a couple times, though I am much lower rated.

Streak 1(90 point lift): 9 win streak starting at 1129 ending at 1219 before losing.
Streak 2(81 point lift): 8 game streak starting at 1201 ending at 1282 (streak is not over yet)

This is usually a combination of a few great played games, some resignations over a blunder and a mix up of higher and lower rated opponents.

a) You could have hit a break through after hitting a wall for a duration of time and it is now reflected in your elo. You will eventually hit another wall and be there a while.

b) You could just have a good streak and it will balance out shortly as you get put up against higher rated opponents and can prepare for some losses.

I have had a 9 game streak that lifted me pretty high... then I balanced out after hitting a wall and then recently broke through that wall and I think I am on a 8 game streak. Some of it was well fought victories, some were resignations after 8 moves.

I would like to think that playing OTB this would be less common. You are less likely to have your opponent get up and resign because his kid just broke his arm doing cartwheels out front. Online chess is a convenience thing... fun to have a rating but its not uber serious and you can get up and walk away when real life happens. I think this factors into some peoples streaks that take them soaring 50-100 points rapidly.

I made a transition to playing typically 1 game at most a day when possible and occasionally will play a handful of games if I have nothing else going on that day. I did this in an effort to dedicate brain power and time to all my moves. When I played multiple games in a day I would experience stop taking my time and blunder more often. Then you're combating your own emotions after blundering the previous game and it just translated to poor performance after a couple games. I mention this here because I believe this personal effort to put more time into my games and moves has made streaks of wins more possible. Not everyone should or would take this route. This is only what I did to make sure I was taking my time and thinking through all the moves. Now I am trying to ease myself into 1-2 games and build up the stamina to think through all my moves for longer periods of time so that I can play multiple games efficiently without getting burnt out by game 3.
Yes @Episcopul, I did hit a wall and had a major slump in my form. Last year in the month of June is when I had hit my previous peak of 1642 and then slumped all the way to an all-time low of 1462.
Throughout the year I tried to get back to where I was, and it was a mixed bag most of the time. But, all of a sudden in the last 12 days my rating soared and I was winning games back-to-back.

I know that sometime this year I will have a slump... but my goal is to soften that slump and not to let it go below 1550.

Update : It's gone up to 1700 !!!

@Orion9328 you can do anything you put your mind to just keep up the dedication. My recent streak was broken by miraculous playing... the guy had 3 inaccuracy 0 mistakes and 0 blunders.... and a centipawn rating of 1.........
@Episcopul I took a look, it does look a little bit suspicious but to be fair he was rated higher before, you made a lot of obvious and easy to see mistakes and he still makes a few mistakes in most games while winning often. I've had several games with 0-1 inaccuracies when my opponent makes mistakes too early. In games like those the opponent usually won't have many active pieces, the positions are simple and tactics are easy to see. It doesn't look miraculous to me, but then again I'm not a mod or anything.
